Our History

The Bank was initially founded in 1979 in Davenport, Washington to serve the needs of the Lincoln County agricultural and business communities.  It’s a commitment that is kept alive with powerful local ownership and decision making. Over the last decade the Bank has embarked on an organic expansion plan into the Spokane and central Washington markets, opening nine new branches and grown to more than $270 million in assets. Wheatland Bank now has 13 locations to serve you throughout Adams, Chelan, Grant, Kittitas, Lincoln, Spokane and Yakima Counties. During the same time, we have greatly expanded our products, services and technologies to be a leader in customer service and convenience; all delivered by the most exceptional local bankers in each market. In recent times, we have been awarded distinct recognition with a 5-Star Superior rating by BauerFinancial and been named one of the strongest banks in the nation.
